My favourite author as a child was Jacqueline Wilson. I read many of her books but I particularly enjoyed Tracy Beaker as it is had a unique blend of humour and sadness. The powerful diary format made the stories both entertaining and thought provoking.

My favourite author is Terry Pratchett and I have read all his books. He is able to take difficult situations and write about them in ways that support all age groups using humour and kindness.
