Special Educational Needs & Disabilities

All Warwickshire Local Authority (LA) maintained schools have a similar

approach to meeting the needs of pupils with Special Educational Needs

and are supported by the LA to ensure that all pupils, regardless of

their specific needs, make the best possible progress in school.
All schools are supported to be as inclusive as possible, with the needs of pupils

with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) being met in a mainstream

setting wherever possible.

At All Saints Primary School and Nursery, we promote a caring and sensitive

ethos, admitting children, regardless of need and enabling all children to

realize the best possible educational outcome. We work hard to prevent

disabled pupils from being treated less favourably than other pupils.

In order to promote equality of opportunity for disabled children we will make

reasonable adjustments to prevent them being put under a disadvantage.

We will work with the family and other settings to ensure a smooth transition

for the child when s/he arrives at our school.

In practice, we ensure that classroom and extra-curricular activities encourage

the participation of all pupils, including those categorized as having special

educational needs or disability.  Staff organise all resources within the school to

increase access to learning and participation by all pupils.
