Music

"Music is a more potent instrument than any other for education." - Plato

Music is a universal language that embodies one of the highest forms of creativity. A high quality music education should engage, inspire pupils to develop a love of music and a talent as musicians, and so increase their self-confidence, creativity and sense of achievement. As pupils progress, they should develop a critical engagement with music.

At All Saints we support this by giving children the opportunity to take part in regular singing lessons, giving children the opportunity to take part in singing a range of songs to audiences, for example: at Christmas & summer concert, Easter celebrations and year 2 children perform annually at the Bedworth Civic Hall.

Music Teachers from the County Music Services deliver weekly, high standard, music lessons. these lessons allow children to develop skills in playing instruments, learning about notation, rhythm and pitch from Nursery through to year 6. The music teachers also work with children in small groups to play the recorder, violin and guitar.

Music - Summer Term 2021

As part of our Monday Music with Mrs Smith ( who retired this week) the children and adults have been learning a new song complete with actions - The Cup Song. Take a look at our fantastic video.

Credit to Mrs Seaman putting this together.

The children have also worked extremely hard to record their annual Summer Concert for you to watch on our unlisted YouTube link. You won't find it by searching, but you can by clicking on this link:

We're sure you will all agree what brilliant videos they are and how hard the children and staff have worked this term to produce this. Credit to Mr Woolcock for stitching all the videos together.
